Please read below, we think we have covered it all but if you do have a question about our rentals or tours, we'll more than happy to answer any questions.
WILL I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
Our silent disco equipment can make people a little giddy with excitement and on rare occasions accidents happen!
Our headphones can easily be damaged if dropped or twisted when removed.
We know you will be careful but to ensure we still have equipment to hire to the next group or party we ask for a refundable deposit of £100 plus per £5 per headset hired for dry hire
and £10 per headset for our tours
(example - A package hire of 20 headsets plus transmitters would require a £200 deposit)
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT AND WHEN DO I PAY?
We kindly ask you pay for your package or tour at least 72hrs in advance when possible
We can take payment over the phone, online or by bank transfer
HOW LONG DO YOUR TOURS LAST AND WHERE DO WE GO?
Our tours last from one to two hours depending on the route you choose and whether you want to include pub stops!
We visit historic sites in Cambridge City taking in some of the famous colleges and sites.
We will cover approximately 1 to 2 miles and a steady pace suitable to the group.
You can walk or dance your way around the city, we don't mind!
HOW DO THE HEADPHONES WORK AND ARE THEY EASY TO USE?
Our headphones are very simple to operate. Each set comes fully charged and can last up to 12hrs without needing to be recharged. The headphones have a button to switch between up to three signals provided by our transmitters with up to a range 150 metres!
So potentially three channels of music - something for everyones taste.
The transmitters can connect to almost any device, phones, laptops, tablets etc.
The headphones also come with a handy volume control so each wearer can adjust the volume they are comfortable with.
When you book your headphones to use at home, corporate event or party, we will ask you what devices you are planning to use to play music or speak through and give you the appropriate connecting cables.
After that it is a simple plug it in, put on some tunes and off you go!
WHAT IF IT"S RAINING ON OUR TOUR?
We know the UK weather can be unpredictable, so we can provide umbrellas to stop you and our headphones getting wet!
In torrential downpours we may have to make an unplanned pit stop in a pub, bar or cafe until the weather has cleared.
ARE THE HEADPHONES AND TOURS APPROPRIATE FOR
ALL AGES & MOBILITY?
We recommend our tours are not suitable for under 12's, our expert tour guides will of course make their commentary age appropriate if we do have under 18's on our tour. Anyone with mobility issues may struggle with certain elements of our tours as the Cambridge streets are cobbled in many places. We will endeavour to accommodate everyone where we can.
Each headset has its own volume control which allows the user to adjust the headphones to the volume they are comfortable with.
As our equipment can break easily, particularly if dropped or twisted, we don't recommend its use by younger children. Whilst we may allow you to hire our equipment for children's parties, we may ask for a larger deposit when doing so.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Your health and safety is paramount to us. We do know that people can get a little over excited and caught up in the moment whilst wearing our headphones and they can be a little disorientating if worn continuously. So please consider taking a short break from wearing them every now and again.
Whilst we want you to unleash your inner Beyonce or John Travolta we do want to make you aware there may be hazards around you.
We will give you a very short health and safety briefing before each tour.
On our walking tours please be aware of kerbs, bollards and other hazards .
Please be mindful of other members of public who aren't privy to the amazing tunes in your headphones and may
not appreciate your moves as much as we do!
CANCELLATION
TOURS & HIRES- If you have to cancel your tour or package hire with us
72hrs notice we will refund your deposit and full hire or tour fee
48hrs notice you will receive your deposit and a 75% refund of your hire or tour fee
If you need to cancel with less than 48hrs notice we will refund your deposit and 50% of your hire fee
In the very unlikely event that have to cancel your tour or hire, we will give you a full refund.
On all occasions we will endeavour to re-book you if you prefer.
GRATUITIES & DRINK STOPS
Drinks stops - if your tour includes stops and pubs or bars, unfortunately drinks are not included in the tour price.
If you enjoy your tour and wish to tip your guide a gratuity I'm sure he or she would greatly appreciate it!
